PUBG MOBILE Launches Spooky Update 4.0 with New Features Across Africa

Exciting New Features and Cultural Celebrations in PUBG MOBILE Version 4.0
PUBG MOBILE, a leading mobile game worldwide, has launched its Version 4.0 Update, bringing an exciting blend of spooky fun, improved performance, and unique content inspired by Africa. This update introduces new game modes, enhanced gameplay, and immersive experiences, while also supporting young creators and university students across the continent.
At the center of this update is the mysterious Wraithmoor Mansion, where players will face ghostly companions, supernatural dangers, and even fly on a Magic Broom. The World of Wonder (WOW) mode has also seen major improvements, with new tools for creators, visual programming features, vehicles, and items to explore. Classic Mode has been updated with the powerful Mortar weapon, better reloading mechanics, and smoother handling of weapons.
Another highlight of the update is the introduction of the UNFAIL mode, offering a new gameplay experience where players can choose to be either Predators or Survivors. Fans can also look forward to a collaboration with Kaiju No. 8, featuring iconic characters, transformation mechanics, and exclusive themed gear. Additional seasonal events like the Crazy Chicken Day celebration and mystery collaborations are part of the exciting update.
From September to November, players can participate in exclusive events such as the Spooky Soiree, Metro Royale: Chapter 28, the launch of C9S26 Season, RP A15 Royale Pass, the Ghostie Keeper, and the Day of Gathering in October. These events provide fresh ways for players to engage with the game and earn unique in-game content.
As part of its commitment to nurturing digital talent, PUBG MOBILE has introduced the Campus Ambassador Program in Nigeria and Kenya. This initiative allows university students to organize on-campus tournaments with cash prizes, promote the game through content creation, and earn up to $500 per month. Students with creative skills are invited to join WOW Map and PDP design contests, giving them the chance to have their work featured in the game. By combining entertainment with entrepreneurship, the program helps African students develop valuable skills and create sustainable side incomes.
Version 4.0 also brings the new Super Smooth graphics option, providing one of the most responsive gameplay experiences yet. Players using select devices can now enjoy up to 50–60fps with a 30–50% reduction in lag and a 15% decrease in device overheating. Longer play sessions are more comfortable, as devices stay 2–4°C cooler, and CPU and GPU usage has been optimized to reduce power consumption by up to 7%. Download speeds have also improved significantly, doubling on average and increasing by up to 200%, allowing faster entry into matches.
To celebrate Africa’s rich cultural diversity, PUBG MOBILE has introduced exclusive in-game items created specifically for African players. These include a Zulu male avatar inspired by South Africa’s heritage, a Nigeria Independence Day avatar frame featuring the green-white-green national colors, a Kenyan bead space gift based on Maasai artistry, and a South Africa Heritage Day spray incorporating national symbols. These items allow players to express their identity and pride within the game.
PUBG MOBILE continues to evolve as a global leader in mobile gaming, offering cutting-edge experiences while celebrating regional culture and empowering communities. With the launch of Version 4.0, African players can now enjoy even more thrilling adventures, greater performance, and meaningful opportunities both in and out of the game.
